Your Choice
Beaches.
Whilst regular venues are on the beaches in Northumberland, we can set up
on virtually any area in UK with sufficient notice.
Tides. For one day events it
makes sense to plan the day around tides if possible. Ring us for
information. Most Northumberland beaches are within the Northumberland
National park and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Here beaches are
vast, empty, offer excellent sand for flying activities and safe clean
water for swimming. If tides or beach are unsuitable,
we can fly from grass areas.
Powerkite Related Activities
Simple recreational kite flying.
Remember that stuff you did with your parents at the beach? Well we can do
the same, happy, carefree, stuff and even stake them into the ground and
just watch them fly. Kind of stuff that girls who want an excuse to chat
and laugh at the blokes as they get dragged around like gladiators. No
need to think or exercise much, just make pretty patterns in the sky when
the fancy strikes.
Fly a stunt kite.
Kites with more speed and a little bit of pull that require a degree of
coordination. Learn tricks and accuracy, and get a bit of exercise.
Small Traction Powerkite.
A small traction kite (2.5m) is a four line ram air parafoil designed to
produce a solid amount of pull that will drag you, or a buggy, down the
beach.
Large Traction Powerkite
Twice the size or more of a small traction kite a large traction powerkite
(4.5m to 8.5m) will physically lift an 18 stone person off the ground.
Learn how to manage this kind of power safely and possibly even learn to
jump if the conditions are right. The picture on the right, on a more
outrageous Army corporate day, gives an idea of the size of one of thee
kites.
Downhill Buggy (Bombing).
Normally buggies are used in conjunction with a fairly powerful kite to
race, zip around the beach, or cross the desert. They can also be used
with novices for a bit of downhill fun, with an significant element of
confidence building included. These buggies don't have brakes, are steered
by the feet and are made of high quality stainless steel, so there is
nothing to go wrong with them and they are virtually indestructible.
Kite buggy.
Same gear as the downhill buggy. Just add a kite and zip along the beach.
A lot more challenging than it sounds and a great way to get photos of
your boss/mates/managing director upside down.
Other Activities
Blokart. Blokarting is
landyachting. large flat buggy, small wheels, roll cage, steering wheel,
large sail. Needs 10mph plus wind and firm sand. More wind is more fun.
Games. Frisbee, rounders,
baseball, tennis etc. We even carry spades if you want to make a
sandcastle! Super soakers for the boys, and Poi to check out the
coordination and artistic talents of the girls.
Exploring.
The areas we offer are rich in opportunities for walking, exploring,
photography, bird watching and observing nature at it's best. We can
prepare packed lunches on site and send you on your way for a couple of
hours.
Beaches and swimming. The beaches that we offer our
corporate days on are top quality, award winning beaches in an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty within the Northumberland National Park, so
swimming is a safe and quiet experience.
Wet weather. Firstly it's very
rare with the summers that we have that it rains sufficiently all day to
make it have an effect. However if it does, we can still have loads of fun
on the beach and just get wet, or arrange indoor activities, such as karting, climbing
or pubbing.
